Hazelton’s Limited started life in 1996 when, having spent 12 years working within the shopfitting and retail maintenance division of a major national retailer, our founder Kevin Hazelton decided that the time had come to go it alone. Working from home and armed with nothing more than a van and a mobile phone he launched Hazelton Shopfitting and Property Maintenance.
Within a matter of weeks Kevin had not only undertaken a number of maintenance projects for both residential and commercial clients but also secured contracts with some of the largest and most prestigious retailers in the UK and the snowball began to gather momentum.
Within its first trading year the company moved into lock up premises and its turnover exceeded a quarter of a million pounds - an unbelievable success from such humble beginnings.
By spring 1998 the company was flying. Our residential and commercial teams were working to capacity and demand for bespoke display and joinery had rocketed. We were desperately in need of a larger production and storage facilities and the search began. In June 1998 we secured the lease on workshop premises at Batch Business Park in Lympsham and by the summer our workshop and offices were fully operational.
Continued growth has seen us develop into a multi-million pound company who now occupy 90% of the business park on which we are based. Our premises provide us with unrivalled workshop, finishing and storage facilities.
We maintain growth by continuing to welcome new clients whether commercial or domestic, large or small - there is no project or order too large or small for us to consider. We are committed to offering a level of service you would normally expect from a much larger company whilst retaining the customer service, personal contact and cost effectiveness of a much smaller organisation.
